Curate: Rev Christian Saguyan
Christian was born in the Philippines but has lived in London since he was a teenager. He became an assistant Pentecostal minister for eight years while working in various charity organisations. Afterwards he pursued the study of theology. During his studies, he worked in London as a pastoral assistant at St Martin-in-the-Fields and became a member of Nazareth Community – a new monastic community where he participated in leading contemplative prayers, lectio divina, and outreach to the homeless. After his time at St Martin’s, Christian was recommended to train for priesthood. He and Janina, his wife, moved to Ripon College Cuddesdon (near Oxford) and while there they had their son Cassian. Christian was ordained last July 2023 at Bristol Cathedral.
Outside reading books and going on small walks, Christian enjoy sports like basketball, football, badminton, and table tennis. His favourite is to spend time with family at local cafes, and visit art galleries when away”.
The clergy are supported by a team of Licensed Lay Ministers (Debs Evans, Heather Lee and Tony Yates) and various other people help lead our less formal services.
